The article deals with some problems oftranslation ofEnglish texts into the Russian language which are usually based on the differences instructure and cultural peculiarities ofboth languages. Some difficulties intranslation ofeconomic texts are described. Ways oftransformation ofterms inthe respect oflinguistic, cultural and psychological factors are suggested. The usage ofprofessional dictionaries, all kinds ofgrammar and culture references are recommended. The translation competence ofamaster is outlined.

The article focuses on the role ofthe communicative approach inthe preparation ofagricultural university students tointercultural communication. The structure and content ofthe communicative interaction, situation as aunit oforganization ofthe whole learning communication process are considered. The characteristics ofthe educational, imitating, simulative and authentic types ofcommunication are described. It is concluded that the most important qualities such as the ability tocommunicate, defend their opinion, toconvince can and should be formed while teaching foreign languages tothe students ofagricultural universities.
